Nicholas Crown serves on the Appellate Staff of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Division, where he represents the United States, its agencies, and its officers in the federal courts of appeals and in the U.S. Supreme Court. Before joining the Department of Justice, Crown was an associate at Susman Godfrey and clerked for Justice Sonia Sotomayor on the U.S. Supreme Court, Judge Stephen A. Higginson on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and Judge T.S. Ellis III on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
