Course Description

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was passed 14 years ago. It has survived multiple death blows and has fundamentally changed health care in the United States. This course will explore its passage, implementation and future. Our plan is to have both Business and Law students participate. All students will participate in a conference to be held in DC March 1 9-20 which will feature many of the people involved in the passage and implementation of the legislation.

Students will be required to submit several short papers during the semester (submitted directly to instructors) OR students may opt to submit a substantial research paper at the end of the semester by noon on May 9, 2024 (the day before the last day of the exam period).
