Course Description

This elective is intended to assist those with follow-on assignments in military justice as supervisory counsel, or students who simply wish to broaden their understanding of professional responsibility. Students will be better prepared to understand nuanced and specific issues related to professional responsibility that can arise in military practice, both as practitioners and supervisors. The wide range of topics will lend itself to preparing students for any follow on assignment, but will be especially useful for leaders in OSJAs and TDS. Expected topics include PR implications of technology and social media, prosecutorial discretion, conflict of interest in the OSJA, Commanders and the Army as clients, and representation of children.
