VJIL and J.B. Moore International Law Symposium: Immigration and Ideology: International Responses to Migration

The Virginia Journal of International Law and J.B. Moore Society of International Law is hosting their annual international law symposium. This year's topic will address the causes of current immigration patterns, the adequacy of existing legal systems to govern resettlement, and the current state of immigration law and policy in the United States and Europe. As the political and policy issues surrounding immigration are constantly changing, the symposium will take an open approach to the preferences of presenters and upcoming events.
The symposium will begin with opening remarks at noon by and will feature three panels throughout the afternoon. The symposium will conclude with a keynote address at 5 p.m. by Colleen Roh Sinzdak, senior litigation associate at Hogan Lovells, followed by a reception at 6 p.m. in Caplin Pavilion.
