Course Description

This seminar will examine the Supreme Court by intensive study of the Court's most recent Term. After a brief introduction to the workings of the Court, the seminar will closely examine the most significant decisions from last Term. Students will be expected to write two papers to be shared with the class. One will be a background paper that helps place the case in context; the other will be a critique of a (different) case. Students will also be required to generate questions for class discussion and to participate in class discussion.

In addition to class participation, students will be evaluated on facilitation of class discussion and two papers submitted during the semester (all directly to Professors, not via EXPO).
