Prerequisites: Patent Law (LAW 8010) is a very useful prerequisite for the licensing work a student might undertake, but it is only required for students who want to specifically do patent drafting work. Because the credits in this course count toward the JD Program Professional Skills requirement, JD candidates will be given enrollment priority for this class. Concurrencies: None

Course Notes: Classroom sessions will meet at the scheduled time at the UVA Licensing and Ventures Group office (722 Preston Ave, Suite 107). Students will also work on client matters approximately seven hours per week. NOTE REGARDING GRADING BASIS: Students will receive a letter grade at the conclusion of the semester.
