Jennie A. James

Jennie James is the Law School Foundation’s treasurer and chief financial officer, with overall responsibility for the foundation’s budget, investment and cash management, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, risk management and human resources administration. Prior to joining the foundation in 2008, she was a senior auditor with the University of Virginia’s internal audit department, where she performed compliance, financial, operational and investigative audits.

Jennie received her bachelor’s degree from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia with a major in accounting. After graduating from the University of Virginia, she worked for a regional public accounting firm in Central Virginia, specializing in nonprofit and quasi-governmental financial accounting and reporting.
